Unlike the majority of reflective tape sold at places like Amazon, Temu, Harbor Freight, and at other online retailers, our tape is fully conformable. Their tape is rigid. Rigid is great on things like Trailer bodies, large machinery, and construction equipment were a straight line is desired. But for installing reflective tapes on things like Cars, Boats, Trucks, Motorcycles, Bicycles and Helmets, a rigid tape will crease when you try to bend it. Rigid tapes do not bend. They are never used in decorative reflective applications like dressing up a motorcycle with reflector tape for safety!
Our conformable reflective tape can be bent as sharply as you need. However, you should limit the bending to about 2% per inch as to not disturb the prismatic base that ALL reflective materials are made from. The reason most reflective tapes are rigid is to protect the prismatic base in reflective tape! We give you the option by making ours pliable... letting you shape it. For elaborate tape designs and shapes, or custom decals to fit on difficult objects like a motorcycle helmet, you must use Conformable Reflective tape. It's the only way!
The designs on this Bergman use a variety of shapes. The rear is using straight reflective tapes while the front is using conformable bent reflective tape. The bold design below is a helmet decal from our Speed Stripes collection and the fender uses more reflective tape. Notice the sharp turns to outline the tope of the wheel fender! You can't do this with most tape sold on the Internet!
Shown here is fully bent and conformed reflective tape with acute turns and bends. You must have conformable tape in order to make these kinds of reflective tape and pinstripe designs!
