THE CHIZZLERRemoving old decals, especially reflective materials, can be a chore! Most vinyls after aging will not lift off easily and they rarely come off in nice long strips. Most chemicals that will dissolve the decals will also remove the paint, so it's a long hard chore to remove decals of any kind.
The CHIZZLER is a specially hardened plastic sharp edge scraper. It reduces the chance of scratching your vehicle while providing that critical sharp edge for scraping under and lifting off the decal. When combined with a moderate temperature heat gun or hair dryer, most decals come off reasonably quickly. Yes, it is still a lot of work, but these tools can reduce your worktime by more than half.
THE FLEXI-PAD
Nothing is more unsettling than a big and beautiful decal with an unsightly air or water bubble firmly sealed under the decal. Proper wiping action is what allows you to push the air and water from under the decal and out through the graphics edge. When working with high grade vinyls such as our own LumaStripe Vinyls (the stuff our decals are made from), you'll soon learn the adhesives are second to none. They bond and don't let go. This is a great feature - unless you managed to seal a bubble under the graphics, and most installations will have some degree of air and water left under the decal. The Flexi-Pad has edges for every type of decal. A flat edge for the wide and level parts of the decal. A curved edge for the rounded objects you might apply a decal to such as a fender or motorcycle helmet or tank. The Flexi-Pad is a very flexible applicator wipe that allows greater than usual wiping pressure than any other type of hard edged application tool.
APPLICATION FLUID CONCENTRATE
Removal or installation of high grade decals works best when the project is kept wet. Better than just water, a mild soapy solution enhances the workability and adjustment techniques during installation. Too little soap, and the result is no better than ordinary water. Too much soap can cause your decal not to bond properly. Just empty this concentrate into a 32-36 ounce spray bottle already filled with fresh clean water. If you are reusing an old cleaner spray bottle, be sure to completely rinse it toughly to not contaminate the solution.
Use our decal application fluid both as an installation and removal aid! It will keep your decal floating until you are ready to bond the graphic. When removing a decal, it provides the stop action for the decal scrapings from re-sticking to your vehicle.
IMPORTANT: Spraying application fluid on top of your decal can during installation will help prevent scuffs, scratches and snags while wiping the decal down.
