Safety never looked so good!
When it comes to riding a motorcycle, safety is paramount. The DMV motorcycle license test is made up mostly of questions which deal with bike safety. Why is safety emphasized so much when it comes to riding a motorcycle? Well it is pretty simple, even a minor accident on a motorcycle can result in a debilitating injury.
In this article I am reviewing unique safety products from a company called StreetGlo, but before I get to the review I would like to share some facts which will show why products like the ones StreetGlo offer will make your next ride safer.
FACT - Approximately three-fourths of motorcycle accidents involve a collision with another vehicle.
FACT - The failure of motorists to detect and recognize motorcycles is the predominating cause of motorcycle accidents. The driver of the other vehicle involved in collision with the motorcycle did not see the motorcycle before the collision, or did not see the motorcycle until too late to avoid the collision.
FACT - Almost 60 percent of motorcyclist fatalities occur at night
We can conclude that the more you can do to make yourself more visible while riding; the less likely you are to be involved in an accident. The main ways you can make yourself more visible at night is to upgrade your motorcycle lighting and to use reflective products. The reflective products is where StreetGlo comes in. StreetGlo is a company which makes some of the slickest reflective products I have ever seen. Reflective stickers on your helmet or on your bike will make you more likely to be seen by other motorist, especially at night.
When the guys over at StreetGlo asked me to try out their products I was excited. I have been eying their products for awhile and have always wanted to try them out. StreetGlo makes some of the highest quality reflective products for motorcycles, cars and trucks on the market today.
When it comes to my helmet, I like to keep it simple so I ordered classic helmet flames which are made with black reflective tape. I have a black helmet so you don't notice the flames during the day, but they sure do glow at night when illuminated by headlights. If black isn't your color, don't despair their decals are available in 9 different colors. Installing the graphics is fairly simple; they have detailed instructions and videos available on their website. The hardest thing you will encounter with these graphics is deciding on the design and color.
The decals are simple to install and excellent instructions are available on the StreetGlo website. If you are concerned about your safety or just want to jazz up that old helmet then I recommend you give the guys at StreetGlo a try.
